Relaxed, informal, and built around fish, meat and produce sourced as close to Southwold as the season allows.
A Southwold table since 2007
Coasters of Southwold opened in May 2007 by Peter Woodward and Oliver Walker. Pete and Olly built a relaxed and informal atmosphere around locally sourced meat, fish and produce, wherever the season allows.
A menu that keeps moving
The frequently changing menus mean returning holiday guests can find something different each time because the menus change very frequently. Gluten Free Adaptable, Dairy Free Adaptable and Vegetarian Adaptable dishes are marked on the menu. If you require any information about the Ingredients in our dishes please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff.

Your own beach-hut pod
The outside dining pods offer seating four people comfortably, with room for a little one or a furry four legged friend. Dogs are only allowed in our beach hut pods and not in the restaurant. Each pod has heating, music and beautifully lit interiors, available come rain or shine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Parties of up to 5 people can be accommodated inside, and the kitchen can make smaller portions to accommodate children.
Close to the people who supply the kitchen
We work as close to our suppliers as we can. The existing supplier story names Huntsham Farm, Accent Fresh, Cleveleys, East Coast Fish, local grower Norman, Freshpac Teas and Coffees, and Lea and Sandeman. The bar serves Fairtrade Blue Mountain Blend Coffee and Italian Hot Chocolate alongside the food.
A well-stocked Southwold bar
The old site listed 60 different Gins and 20 different Malt Whiskys. Bottles change, so ask what is pouring now rather than treating an old count as a promise.
One page, on Coasters' own colours
The current journey uses ResDiary and also links guests to OpenTable and Tripadvisor. This demo keeps the request on a Coasters-branded page without a card-deposit wall. For table reservations, please contact the restaurant directly or use the request form, and the team will confirm shortly.
